Not a happy holiday maker!. Can’t fault the surroundings ie location to sea and pool area.
Decor very tired and quite shabby in Some areas.
Service was shocking in the dinning room other than the young guys at the pool pub .
Food.. unless you’re Turkish pretty much all that was available. Don’t get me wrong I love Turkish food.. Don’t expect cooked food to be hot.. it’s not.
Everything you asked for you got told No.
Entertainment .. non existent.
Unless you like music blaring out at the pool from 9 till late.
Some it up .. i will along with my 6 friends will not be going back to Holden age unless they up the service and food and general attitude to holiday makers.. .

This is a budget hotel at best !. I don’t very often write reviews but I feel I need to after my 8 night stay here. We really didn’t pay a lot for the holiday so part of me thinks a negative review isn’t fair, but the more I think about it, a 4 star hotel should have some positives even if its a cheaper one and there are certain things you’d expect even in a very basic hotel.
Firstly the positives, the pool area is really nice as is the beach … lots of sunbeds and shade. You can walk into town which is about a mile away and There is also a shuttle that goes every hour until midnight, there you’ll find a lovely harbour with bars and restaurants and a gorgeous sunset view. It is a bit more expensive than places I’ve been before in turkey but you’re paying for the Marina etc.
Now the negatives! The hotel room was poor, very small with the most uncomfortable mattress which was like sleeping on a brick. There was no top sheet / cover when we arrived, we slept under a towel. We asked for one the next day and was given a duvet cover that covered only half the bed and a similar sized blanket thing (like a bed topper). We also stole one from the cleaner cupboard so had 3 separate covers to be fully able to cover the double bed. The balcony was tiny and pretty much open to next doors so really not useable to sit. The shower seal was totally gone so the shower flooded the bathroom every night and therefore smelt of damp all the time. The walls were unbelievable thin, we could literally hear next doors conversation and also them going to toilet (and i don’t mean the toilet flushing ) . We didn’t have the room cleaned, or towels / sheets changed the whole time we stayed (8 days), we had to ask for toilet paper which they did bring.
The main restaurants food was the worst I’ve ever had in an all inclusive resort in any country. We had breakfast once, coffee in paper cups, no toaster for the bread and cold fried eggs (they came out of the kitchen baked and were literally freezing before they were put into the buffet server). Lunch and dinner was the same every night, every salad dish was identical. The soup was tasteless and barely luke warm. The buffet was the same fish daily (both lunch and dinner), then there was always a turkey dish , and 2 vegetable dishes (when I say vegetable dish I mean carrots on there own as a dish, or sauted spinach ). No meal was hot even when just put out . The snack bar was okay .. although the same daily, burgers, chips , chicken nuggets and onion rings. The main problem here was that it got cold very quickly and they didn’t cook any more until the previous lot had gone so pretty much it’s cold all day,
The a la cartes close the 2nd week in sept for winter so I can’t comment on those.
The drink … a really slim choice, the main bar is the pool bar (day and night), its wine (white rose or red), beer. (Bad pump efes), gin or vodka then juice / fizzy on the pump. All drinks are served in plastic cups all day / night or sometimes at night a paper cup, the only glass for a drink is in the buffet restaurant and you’re not allowed to take glass out of there. The lobby bar really isn’t a bar, the only alcohol it has is beer in paper cups. It’s coffee and non alcoholic.
A couple of other things that may or may not bother you but worth writing anyway . There is virtually no service .. unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed in turkey where the waiters / bar staff can’t do enough for you. They are all pleasant but they just clear plates and tidy up . There are cats and dogs everywhere !! They are all well kept and the dogs keep them selves to themselves, but the cats like to join you at the table (this is actually the same at the Marina so I think it’s the norm in the area).
The hotel description says there is a mini bar in the room, there isn’t, there’s a fridge with 2 small bottles of water in it.
The music around the pool is deafening ! I read another review about this and thought they were just moaning but it really is unbelievable, if you are close to the speak you cannot have a conversation with the people next to you!
There is virtually no evening entertainment, any there is finishes by 10.30 then a few people sit around in the bar without any music or anything .
I genuinely don’t know how this place gets 4 stars , but please don’t be fooled into thinking you are getting a bargain by getting a luxury hotel at budget cost as the reality is quite the opposite .. .

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the hotel, and can’t recommend it until they refresh it and do better cleaning. The hotel has a potential to be a 4 star, but unfortunately because of poor cleaning in the rooms, constant lack of bath towels, dirty plates and cutlery in restaurant, as well as poorly looked green areas spoil the impression. Only food was ok. .

Nice sea and cheap hotel. Hotel beach with very nice warm clean and clear sea with sandy bottom and sea grass and rocks with plenty of fish -nice for small children but also for snorkeling.
We were very satisfied with food, but one should consider that it is mostly Turkish cuisine, which means no beef, no European cheese and sausages, plenty of vegetables. There was always enough food and wide selection.
We had “Club” room which was supposed to be higher standard. It was less old than the hotel rooms, but double room was really tiny with 100yrs old air conditioning. The room was clean, but the shower looked like it had never been cleaned.
The hotel is huge and even though the staff is cleaning common areas all the time, you can often see some mess or something missing- tables aren’t set, half of the buffet is empty, the guests are queuing at the grill…. .

. Golden Age Otel, yemek çeşitliliği ve lezzet açılarından çok başarılıydı. Her gün oda temizliği yapıldı. Lobideki koltukların minderleri çok eskiydi. Otel hiç yenilenmemiş gübiydi. Bir elden geçmesi, yenilenmesi iyi olur. . .
